Sylvia shared with us her process of creating her mixed media photography at our opening event. All of her images come from her extensive travels around the world. It was a very informative and fascinating talk about how she starts with a photograph and creates a layered, complex image illuminating the history of each piece and the location where it originated from. Thanks to everyone who came out for the opening, and to Sinuhe Padilla Isunza for his gorgeous music. You can learn more about Sylvia's work at SylviaVigliani.com The exhibit will be on display through June 30th. Gallery 505 hours are Fridays, 2-4 pm.

Wonderful workshop today with Alexander Technique teacher Kristin Mozeiko -- thanks to everyone who attended -- to learn more about Kristin and The Alexander Technique go to ArtofReleasing.com
The Alexander Technique (AT) is a way to feel better, and move and breathe with greater ease and freedom. Kristin shared how this mind-body technique helps you to identify and eliminate harmful habits that have built up over a lifetime of stress and how it relates to all aspects of movement, everyday activities, and breathing. Riverdale's Annual Easter Egg Hunt took place on Sunday, April 9th, organized by 4bronx, Cleaning Wand, and The Padernacht Real Estate Team. Inwood 9/11 Memorial Garden donated most of the eggs and candy!
Other Sponsors include Harlem Fund, North Riverdale Baseball League (gave us the field), Just One Pop Away Balloons, and members of the community. Over 400 people showed up to hunt for eggs. We had a stiltwalker, face painter, balloon artist, and The Easter Bunny stopped by! Over 8,000 eggs were found. |
